Sit back and relax while experiencing a different view of the Maltese Islands on our fully narrated tour of Valletta’s natural deep-water harbour of 3.6 km of inland sea.

This scenic cruise takes you on a journey through Malta’s awesome historical past. The English Rose leaves Mellieha Bay from the Tunny Net Jetty (click for site map) at 10:30 and cruises along the Islands of St. Paul (shipwrecked in 60 A.D.), towards the city of Sliema, the most popular tourist resort, then we proceed alongside Marsamxett Harbour towards the Grand Harbour.

As we cruise the Grand Harbour you can listen to a detailed commentary about the history of Fort St. Elmo, Fort Ricasoli, the Mediterranean Conference Centre (once the Sacred Infirmary), Pinto Wharf, Marsa Creek, Senglia Creek, Kalkara Creek, Fort Rinella and the Three Cities connected with two Great Sieges of 1565 and 1942, as well as all the other historical places which can only be admired from the sea.

We leave Grand Harbour to Mellieha Bay where we arrive at approximately 14.15.

Schedule: Starts 1st Sunday in May till last Sunday in October, except 1st Sunday of August.
