Swimming, Snorkelling and Sightseeing in the famous Blue Lagoon!
If you are visiting the Maltese Islands or have lived here all your life you cannot miss a most relaxing day on the Comino Day Cruise. This trip highlights the natural beauty of Comino Island that lies in between Gozo and Malta, measuring 1.35 square miles in area of nature reserve, bird sanctuary and pristine lagoons.
The Comino Day Cruise leaves Mellieha Bay in Malta, from the Tunny Net Jetty (click for site map) at 09:55 Hrs. On our way to Comino Island we start with our first highlight of the Comino Day Trip where we explore inside the natural caves that forms part of the coast line cliffs of Mellieha, like the Lead Cave and Santa Maria Caves.
Then, we continue sailing towards the crystal clear waters of the famous Comino Blue Lagoon. There we moor for two and a half hours (it’s 2 hour stop in April, May, mid-Sept. & Oct) to have enough time to enjoy swimming or snorkelling or relaxing on the boat.
While we moor at the Blue Lagoon you can also go on land to discover the nature and tranquillity of Comino and the uninhabited island of Kemunett and admire the Santa
Maria tower which dominates the coast, a fortification built by the Knights of St. John in the 17th century.
Leaving the Blue Lagoon behind, we cruise again towards the south side of Comino Island to stop at the Crystal Lagoon.
While sailing there we pass by and enter some of the natural caves that surround the area. At the Crystal Lagoon we moor for 1:15 hours.
The area here is an excellent spot for swimming, snorkelling or a walk around the Crystal Lagoon Comino area. Here you can also admire the most magnificent channel views.
The Comino Day Trip arrives back at Mellieha Bay at approximately 16:00 Hrs (in April, May, mid-Sept. & Oct at 15:45)
Schedule: 09:55 – 15:45 / 16:00 (Boarding between 09:15 and 09:50)
